Charbonnel Etching Inks are characterised by powerful colours, with lightfastness and siccative properties. The Brand Charbonnel was established in 1862 and it is the benchmark of artworks. This particular Artistic technique was born in Germany at the end of the XIV century, using a engraved wooden support. To the wooden surface was applied the ink and then above it was pressed a paper sheet to obtain the engraved relief.In 1989 Charbonnel was took over by the French Company Lefranc&Bourgeois.
